e.g. SARS influenced the tourism.

2. A have an effect/impact/influence on B
e.g. SARS had an influence on the toursim.

    impact on/upon
    The Food Safety Act will progressively impact on the way food businesses operate.

    產生影響[(+on)]
    It is obvious how bad movies will impact on children.
    壞電影對兒童會產生什麼影響是顯而易見的。

    Impact如果當動詞好像比較常用不及物喔
    impact on+ N.

  2. Right, the verb could be either the transitive or intransitive. You are right, to some degree, that the frequency of "impact on" is higher. It might be better for students to retain the one.
